Specsavers Opticas, on Ricardo Soriano in Marbella, decided to give back to the community and find the hardest working person in the area. After surveying the local businesses over several months for their nominations the resounding winner was Hanah Ichi, Chef and Manager at Don Croissant Café on Ricardo Soriano and she received a free pair of glasses.
Hanah has been in Marbella for the last 9 years and single-handedly prepares a fantastic daily menu at Don Croissant, working long hours, but always with a smile on her face. She has a large base of loyal customers who come back for her great personality, conversation, and of course her cooking, and she’s a really positive figure in the community.
Store Directors Nerea Galdos and Leighton Griffiths explain – “We think hard work and positivity should be rewarded and so we’re delighted to have been able to provide Hanah with a free pair of glasses to show that her customers and other local businesses appreciate what she does for them. As regular visitors to the café, we can confirm she’s a great cook, a very hard worker and a real team player who really brightens everyone’s day when they visit, so she’s a worthy winner.”
Hanah was shocked, but delighted to be given this prize in recognition of her work. She said “I am so pleased to be given these lovely new glasses and to be nominated by my customers and local businesses is a real honour. I am lucky to have a great team of waitresses working with me who make it all possible - this is for them as well. A big thank you to Specsavers and everyone who nominated me.”
In order to help the local community further, Specsavers Opticas are offering free eye tests until 30th November at their store on Avda. de Ricardo Soriano 12, Local 5A. Call 952 863 332 to make an appointment or visit www.specsavers.es.
