What is a keratometer?
Answer:
This piece of equipment is used to measure the curvature of the cornea so that the optician can determine the shape of contact lens that you may need. The optician also uses it to establish whether any astigmatism you may have is a result of the curvature of the cornea. By comparing this with your prescription your optician can select the appropriate contact lenses for you.
