Is diabetic retinopathy painful and does it affect vision?
Answer:
Diabetic retinopathy does not cause any pain, but can seriously affect vision if it goes undetected. Therefore, it is important that once a patient is diagnosed with diabetes they have an eye examination at least once a year or as soon as any changes in vision are noticed.
