Global optical retailer Specsavers Opticas has chosen Mallorca as the first target of its Spanish expansion, and will open its store in Santa Ponça on 4th July, 2011. Specsavers’ coastal expansion plans were revealed by leading business newspaper Dossier Empresarial in April 2011. It reported that “despite the economic crisis, the chain experienced a 95% increase in the number of Spanish customers during 2010” at its existing stores in the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca.

Der globale optische Einzelhändler Specsavers Opticas hat Mallorca als erstes Ziel seiner spanischen Expansion gewählt und eröffnet am 4. Juli 2011 ein Geschäft in Santa Ponça. Specsavers´ Expansionspläne wurden im April 2011 von der führenden Unternehmerszeitschrift Dossier Empresarial enthüllt. Man berichtete, dass „die Kette im Jahr 2010 trotz der Wirtschaftkrise in seinen Geschäften an der Costa del Sol und Costa Blanca bei den spanischen Kunden eine Zuwachsrate von 95% verzeichnen konnte“.
